Ein digitales Orthophoto ist ein durch Transformation auf ein orthogonales Koordinatensystem entzerrtes Luftbild. Orthofotos werden in profil c/s als Kartenhintergrund für Geographisches Informationssystem|Geoinformationssysteme (GIS) verwendet.
